If there was a secret to success, this is probably it.
If you take radical responsibility and ownership of your inner experiences, you will inevitably win for life!
As a driven, ambitious, high-achiever you need to be in charge of your inner world and inner experiences. If there was one secret to success, I feel this is it. If you’re sorted on the inside, then things outside will be sorted too!
Prioritize winning and becoming successful on the inside.
In a world ( especially the business world) that’s on high doses of external appearances, vanity metrics, tactics, and next best winning strategies, I want to be the voice that reminds you that none of these things are above your creative and resilient inner power.
Imagine trying to put on an appearance of being happy for the world and feeling miserable on the inside. This is exactly what happens when you set and pursue goals on what you think will make you look happy, instead of being driven by what innately makes you happy.
Become mentally, emotionally, behaviourally, and energetically aligned with your mission and goals.
Do you think, feel, an act in alignment with what your goals are? Are you energetically a match of the vision you see for yourself, the results you seek and the goals you’ve set in your life and business?
Most people are not a mental, emotional and energetic match for the life they dream about. I am not trying to be harsh or trying to trigger you, but rather just asking you to become honest with yourself. Because awareness creates room for you to move forward.
Once you get honest with yourself about the circumstances (inner and outer), you can shift your energy towards expanding instead of contracting back into your comfort zone.
Build your inner foundation on radical responsibility.
You have to work with your current reality and experience everything for what it is. The longer you avoid dealing with undesired circumstances, the more you’ll delay moving forward. Often the first actions you need to take are towards your inner healing, and inner working on things that lead you to become an obstacle to your own success. This is why inner work is huge in my work with clients. Because I know it’s power to change your entire life situation.
Radical Responsibility is where we build this inner foundation. Because it’s what makes the biggest shifts. Radical Responsibility isn’t a guilt trip, and it’s definitely NOT about putting the blame on yourself for mistakes made, or actions not taken. It’s about taking an active, leadership role and while being open to what life is presenting to you. It’s about taking an empowered responsibility to look at the choices you’ve made, or continue to make, and then, recognizing the need to make different; better ones. Radical responsibility needs to be applied to all aspect of your life.
This includes, good or bad situations, in business and in life and here’s what that looks like:
Instead of obligation, choosing to actively participate in it.
Responding to things mindfully vs. compulsively reacting to things.
Taking ownership of your life and inner knowingness.
As always, small intentional steps towards radical responsibility will add up in the long run. The key is to not do it from a place of feeling guilt or burden, but rather from feeling empowered and liberated to create a life and business that you feel good about.
